Michael J. Uccellini
President & CEO
As President and Chief Executive Officer of United Group, Michael Uccellini oversees a full service real estate company specializing in development, finance, construction management and acquisition of real estate.
Mr. Uccellini also serves as president of United Development, the real estate development arm for United Group, and as president of United Realty Management Corp., AMO®, and a managing member of United Plus Property Management, LLC, AMO®, the real estate management arms of United Group. United Group is a nationally recognized real estate corporation established in 1972. Currently, United has in excess of $350 million in projects under development. These include a variety of project types including mixed-use urban redevelopment, intergenerational housing, student housing, senior apartments, multifamily housing, and commercial office.
In his current capacities, Mr. Uccellini directs a staff of 284 professionals in the asset management of the commercial and residential portfolio of United Group and third party clients. Mr. Uccellini directs the asset management of over $750 million commercial and residential portfolio for United Group and third-party clients. The commercial and residential portfolio exceeds 5,000,000 square feet and includes such high profile commercial tenants as Lockheed Martin, Global Foundries, Hudson Valley Community College and General Electric. The residential portfolio includes multi-family, senior, student, and affordable apartment home communities – over 37 properties in four states totaling over 4,600 units.
Mr. Uccellini is a current President of the Capital District Chapter (New York State) of the Institute of Real Estate Management (“IREM®”) and has earned the IREM designations of Certified Property Manager (CPM®) and Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS®). Mr. Uccellini is a past chair of IREM’s® prestigious National Federal Housing Advisory Board. The management company was bestowed with the title of AMO® – Accredited Management Organization (AMO®) – in 1988 and has maintained the accreditation ever since. Mr. Uccellini is a licensed Real Estate Sales Broker in New York State.
Under Mr. Uccellini’s guidance, United Group has received numerous awards and accolades for Historic Redevelopment (SHPO) and US Army Pentagon Awards for Military Housing Excellence. The Lodge at BridgeMill in Canton, Georgia was the recipient of NAHB’s 50+ Senior Housing 2008 Gold and Silver Achievement Awards for marketing, as well as a 2009 NAHB 50+ Senior Housing Award (Silver) for the Clubhouse at Schuyler Commons, Utica, NY. In addition, Mr. Uccellini created United’s prestigious SUN® Program that received the company’s first registered trademark, and has earned in 2009 a Silver LEED Certification for the first 105,000 square foot high tech office and light assembly manufacturing building in NYSERDA’s Saratoga Technology and Energy Park (STEP).
Mr. Uccellini holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’s Lally School of Business Management in Troy, New York. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Managerial Economics from Union College in Schenectady, New York. In addition, Mr. Uccellini is active with a variety of community and national organizations. He is a Trustee of St. Gregory’s School for Boys, Loudonville, New York, and a Board Member of the Center for Economic Growth, Albany, New York. He is also a member of the United States Green Building Council, the Association of the United States Army and the Capital Region Building Owners and Managers Association.
Chief Investment Officer
Mark Marasciullo is a 25-year veteran of the real estate business. Over the course of his career he has consummated in excess of $7.5B worth of real estate transactions, across all major asset classes. He has advised numerous institutional clients, private equity firms and hedge funds on their commercial real estate investments, and has been a featured columnist on The Business Insider.
Mark has started numerous companies, including New Canaan Partners, which he started in 2006 with seed capital from Guggenheim Partners. Most recently, Mark served as the Chief Financial Officer at Greenpointe Holdings, one of Florida’s largest, privately held residential development concerns. In addition to his entrepreneurial endeavors, Mark has garnered significant institutional experience. He was a Senior Managing Director of National Investor Accounts and the International Capital Group at JLL. As a senior member of National Investor Accounts team, he covered JLL’s largest institutional investor clients. As a senior member of International Capital group, Mark worked with US based investors to export their capital to Europe, while simultaneously importing Asian & Middle Eastern capital to the US. Prior to working at JLL Mark was a Vice President at EastdilSecured in NYC. Mark started his career as a leasing broker at Spaulding & Slye in Washington, DC.
He lives in New Canaan, CT with his wife of 18 years. He has two daughters: Charlie and Daisy.
Managing Director, Finance
As Managing Director in the Finance, Keith works in a number of capacities dealing with both debt and equity opportunities for existing properties and those in United Group’s development pipeline. This includes financial analysis, providing debt and equity reporting to prospective sources, working with brokers, and networking with institutional and private capital relationships. Keith also presents United Group’s future plans and its pipeline of projects to individuals interested in real estate investment and financing.
In addition, he assists with property dispositions and investor services. In raising private debt and equity, Keith meets with various accredited individuals including Medical Doctors, Financial Professionals, Attorneys, Business Owners as well as other potential investors. He is a Senior Vice President at MCM Securities and holds the FINRA Series 24 General Securities Principal License as well as the Series 82 and 63 FINRA Licenses.
Keith is married to his wife Colleen for 27 years and has three children, Christopher, Danielle and David. As a former avid Marathon Runner, Keith was President of The Mid-Hudson Road Runners Club and Race Director of The Dutchess County Classic for over 14 years.
Keith has been with United Group since 2010. Prior to working at United Group, Keith was owner of a regional marketing and advertising firm for over 40 years as well as a video production company. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Charter Oak State College in New Britain, CT.
Kimberly A. Williams
Senior Vice President, Finance
As Senior Vice President of Finance, Kim serves as a senior member of the management team. She is an integral part of the finance division and has been a dedicated professional since joining United Group in 1987. During her tenure, Kim has held a variety of positions ranging from marketing, accounting, administration, and property management.
Kim currently represents the finance division in development-related activities for new business and ensures internal systems and guidelines are executed to optimize the effectiveness of each team. She is responsible for ensuring that the development and finance divisions are focused, productive, and achieving United Group’s desired outcomes for performance. Kim is also responsible for due diligence efforts associated with loan applications and refinancing efforts, and facilitates and expedites loan closings to ensure banking requirements are met. In addition, Kim oversees our Investor Relations department that administers all investor activity. This includes accurate processing of investor transactions and maintaining effective communication between all.
Kim has participated in the development and management of over 4,500 apartments and financing in excess of $350 million of real estate-related transactions; including the use of taxable and tax-exempt structures and conventional mortgages.
Kim holds an AAS in Business from the State University of New York at Cobleskill. She is an active presence in a variety of community service organizations and has served on several boards in various capacities, including the Capital Region Center for Arts in Education operating as Treasurer and President.
Thomas J. Uccellini
Director of Business Development + Commercial Leasing
As Director of Business Development + Commercial Leasing, Tom is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and closing all lease and sales transactions for office and retail space in United Group’s commercial portfolio, consisting of approximately 750,000 square feet. Additionally, Tom is actively seeking acquisition opportunities that fit United Group’s profile.
Prior to his current position, Tom worked with a small team within United Group’s finance division that sourced over $100 million in debt, equity and mezzanine financing. Since 2001, Tom has been involved in every aspect of United’s development process from site selection through construction. Under the construction management arm he oversaw two senior housing development projects with a total value of $30 million and two student housing projects totaling $75 million that included 1200 beds at the State University at Albany. He then transitioned into development where he completed an $80 million, 60-acre, 254-unit intergenerational community from site selection through construction.
Tom earned a B.S. in Business Management and Technology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and is a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the state of New York. He currently sits on the board of trustees for the Saratoga Senior Center. He is a two-time New York State Greco-Roman wrestling champ as well as a two-time All American.
